In April, Viatris colleagues in Slovakia took part in a national fundraising initiative in support of the League Against Cancer. The civic association has been providing free psychosocial support and prevention services to cancer patients and their families in Slovakia for over 35 years.
Fifteen employees volunteered their time, collecting donations and offering symbolic daffodils at the Viatris office and near the University Hospital in Martin. In a single day, they raised over 2,000 EUR to support the League’s ongoing work.
This initiative is part of the #BuildingHealthierCommunities program, which brings together philanthropic events across Viatris Europe under one shared framework. In Slovakia, it reflects a longstanding local partnership and strong employee engagement with a cause that touches many. With 60 volunteer hours contributed, the event combined hands-on participation with tangible support for a cause that matters locally.
